I am keen in getting a PL light for my two feet becos i am going to keep some mini riccia in my tank. I don't know where i can get the lights and what is the cost and the recommended watts for this tank of mine. Can some experts in this forum enlighten me? I required it urgently. Also is normal FL light enough to sustain? Can my 2 feet normal FL light converted to the 2 feet PL lights?

PL usually can get about 55w . cost might be about $40 or more . Watts for a tank is roughly based on what plants you have , and about 2w/gallon is average . Normal FL lights can do well providing there are adequete tubes . Toconvert a FL into a PL , it depends on where u ask it at i think NA does it at a price .
And also for your lights , go with E ballasts , cooler .

I have my single tube 15W FL converted to 36W PL recently at NA. Cost me $40/- . So far satisfied with the performance of the PL.

As it is using e-ballast, it is much more cooler when compared to a 15W FL.(I am using a 15W FL and 36W PL for my 2 ft tank)
