Why did pregnant CRS die during pregnancy?and how to avoid it?

Sorry to hear about it.
Some problems which cause pregnant Crs to die is because of poor water condition, stressful environment (lack of hiding place), sudden change of water parameter. There's too many factors to name. If possible, post a tank photo and give the water parameters and other experts can helps you to find out.
By the way, you still can artificially hatch the eggs if the eggs are not moldy looking. Some actually success in hatching small numbers of them.

Err. It you will firstly needs a long sewing needle, sharp head tweezer. Hold the dead Crs head using the tweezer. And use the sewing needles to separate the eggs from the swimlets. Make sure the eggs are separate from the swimlets so that the swimlets will not foul the water. After that, do not handle the eggs using your finger to prevent acid from your hand destroy the membrane which covers the eggs.
Now put the eggs into the stainless steel slever and place the slever somewhere with constant flow.
Finally, just try to cross your fingers and hope for the best.

by the way, have you did a water change or add something recently??

try do a check on your parameter

about the "artificially hatch the egg", i heard it before, but if you want to succesully hatch it, you must be quick and carefull with it.
may be some bro out here will explain more

saw the snails having a hearty feast with the eggs and left the gead crs head..
