Yes go to Qianhu saw some green cylinder there last sat but not sure for which model, if the parts you want is not there ask them to help you order they are carrying the whole lot of Eheim products.
My eheim 2211 canister (green cylinder canister) cracked yesterday when I accidentally tipped it over..
I decommissioned it already as the crack caused a leak.
I was wondering if there is somewhere I could buy a replacement for the canister only. My eheim is relatively new so it would be a waste to just throw it away.
Or maybe someone out here has a spare canister I can buy.
Pls help.
Thanks!

Qianhu is the Eheim distributor so you can get from them
Thanks for the reps. Emailed them already and response was very quick! They do have the cylinder but it is quite expensive for me. Thinking about just getting a new one... sigh...
Go get a new unit, cheaper that getting the replacement canister body.
DIY.... you can use "clear silicon" to seal the crack. You can buy it at a DIY shop. It cost less than $10.
Thanks for the tips.
Would chloroform be a better adhesive? the canister is made from acrylic plastic, if im not mistaken...
Here's what I would do, but no guarantee it would work.
I will seal the crack with silicon, then cut a piece of plastic sheet (transparency should do fine), place this plastic sheet inside the filter and secure it using silicon. The force of water in the filter should push the sheet against the crack hence providing a seal.![]()

chloroform is restricted item. you can go art friend to get acrylic glue (propanoic acid). there's also a more expensive quartz crystal glue for acrylic. the latter quite expensive, $10++ for small bottle. propanoic glue is much cheaper. both easier to store than chloroform. i tried storing chloroform, een in air tight container eventually disappear also. can get from art friend or those craft store in bra basah. just ask for glue for acrylic. homefix selling glue that can fix acrylic also. alternatively, use epoxy. very strong and chemically resistant. good for pressurized tanks like canister. downside is the 24h curing time. even if it says 1h cure, still need cure 24h for maximum strength. i recommend the slower curing formulas as the quick cure makes the glue a little less strong.
Just buy a replacement container. It is too high a risk to take by gluing. What is the silicone give way or it is not seal properly? The impact is the whole tank water will flow onto the floor. Whole tank. Dont play play...![]()
