Maybe some moss? When it starts to grow it will have natural feel. But chose the correct kind of moss. My 2 cents worth .
Hi, will i be able to do the above? I was thinking of tying around the pvc pipe, which kind should i be getting? As right now in the tank, the pvc pipe looks ugly if you get what i mean. If it is white and clean, i wouldn't mind but it's not.
Thanks in advance!
Am i posting it in the right section? Moderator help me shift it if i'm wrong, Sorry and Thanks!

thanks equidorz, having a headache which kind!
The experienced people out there, help me out! thanks!
Instead of pvc have you thought of using a piece of bamboo or long thick piece of driftwood drilled to make a cave.
Xmas or weeping? Should look nice once it grows!
so let's say i get xmas, i just tie it around the pipe with fish line?
get a hairnet, the kind used in restaurants by the workers and wrap it around the moss and pvc.
ya you can just tie it around the pipe , its better if its made of clay as the moss can attach itself to the pipe.
I have a difference take on this. Crayfish are destructive and are basically omnivorous. They will chew up the moss eventually.
You can choose to coat the PVC pipe with silicon, and attach sand granules to it. Let it cure for 24 hours and you have an instant hideaway for your crayfish, or get a plastic replica of a hollow-ed out driftwood with water proof paint, or get a clay hideaway instead if you wish to use mosses or ferns tied to it. They are not picky over their homes and will not be too stressed even if you switched the "ugly" PVC pipe with something else, provided you do it slowly. Leave the new hideout in the tank with the PVC pipe, and let the crayfish explore the new "home" at it's own pace. Once it is hiding inside the new home, remove the PVC pipe.
Fish.. Simply Irresistable
Back to Killies... slowly.
Coating silicon or cement, both i can get from home fix? Must i lookout for like chemical hazard or whatever? or any will do? They aren't destroying my moss or plants, somehow they love plants. Yeah but now they're in a tub so good time to DIY my pvc pipe, my tank cracked. Sadly, ordered from C328 already.
Cool can crayfish live with angelfish?
please don't, i've tried gar/clown loach/tetra/albino shark/guppies and ZERO survived.
Victory loves preparation
Dangerous... Haha
Crayfish cannot live peacefully wif any fish ar?
really? i want to have some crayfish in my tank >.<(angel fish)
As was mentioned above, use silicone sealant or as I prefer, epoxy, to coat the PVC then roll it in sand or the substrate of your preference. PVC is too smooth for plants to find purchase. You must provide a rougher surface. I use any 5 minute epoxy. Once it's cured, it is chemically inert and only takes minutes. silicone sealants should cure 24 to 36 hours before placing them in the aquarium.
Epoxy is proven safe for use in attaching coral frags so that is a good indication of how safe it is.
