Recommendations of LFS

Hi All,

Looking for LFS with equipment/fish variety and definately must be value for money.

General query..
What are the top ten "worth visiting" LFSs in singapore? (ranking from 1 to 10)

Your top 10 seriously needs to be Dependant on what you are looking for. Equipment should also factor in distance for the price, Traveling 1 hr to the shop for 5$ disc mite not be worth it. Fish Variety Dependant on what kinda fish your looking for. Cichlids? Tetras? Aro? Pleco? Discus?

There is another thread on most valuable LFS somewhere here... and personally these are my most recommended :-

1) Seaview; at Jln Kayu (discount given for purchase above $10)
2) Tropical Fish International; Pasir Ris Farmway 3 (Water Plants + Corals + Marine Fishes; cheapest)
3) Nature Aquarium + Colourful (2 shops almost side by side); Balestier Hill Shopping Ctr, Thomson Rd (best for it's Shrimps + Cardina Tetra + Tank ***.)
4) Yishun 618 (cant rem the shop name)

True.. I am definitely not traveling so far for just a few cheap items.
I am staying in Tamp, the neighbourhood LFS really mark up all prices.
I would normally go to Seaview for my supplies.
Just wanna learn about more LFS, so I am able to visit them if I am chilling/dining around that area.

I have been to Seaview/Tropical Fish International/C328 really not bad.
Would normally visit Seaview for fishfood, new fishes and equipments..
Thanks for sharing. I should visit Nature Aquarium, Colourful and Yishun 618 someday.

Ya.. not advisable to purchase from there.. the same item I can get at seaview or c328 for 50% lesser in price.. only factor is travelling.

but i believe it's the only place from like the whole of pasir ris to bedok for the least right? though i know pasir ris has this farm or something.

Hi luther,

Great to hear from fellow tampines resident. I've gone quite a few shops for different stuffs. So far my most frequently visited are sea view and OTF at pasir ris farmway. There also a couple of shops in bedok north that sell some cheap stuffs too. For plants, Capricorn has a lot. Maybe we should go on a tour of the eastern LFS, ha ha..

actually tampines 201 seems well stocked. they pretty have much of everything except the livestock.

i always head there during lunch break. no choice, nearest already.

As what Blaze has mentioned, going too far to get a discount on certain items is not economical to begin with. Support your local LFS or you might have to end up travelling further just to get basic aquarium stuff. For myself, I just visit C328 when I need items. Biggest set of equipment at a location near me, so I don't have to travel too far for certain items.
