haha, before vinz goes ballistic, i will try to be clear: What exactly is this crystal clear? What does it claim to do? What is its composition? Give us some answers, and you should then get better answers in return.

it an solution(liquid chemical) sold in LFS that help to clear fish tank by binding up small impurities to bigger lump then sink em to the buttom or get filtrated by filter ( as stated in the packaging).the water then become clearer . no chemical component stated on it.

ok, but what do you want to use it for? to clear a sudden cloudiness? to clear cloudiness in a new tank??? There are different approaches possible to this, and understanding why the cloudiness appears can lead to better solutions than adding an unknown chemical compound.

external canistor, nothing wrong with my filtor :P cos need to reset my tank and resetting it means cloudy water.normal settlement 1 to 2 days, with crystal clear 4-5 hours. err but only experience it with my luohan tank. so planted tank not very sure useful/harmful.

I believe the product is called OceanFree Super Crystal Clear.

Its a brown colour solution which turns cloudy when added into the tank. The water will be murky for a few hours and then, clear up and become crystal clear. It also helps remove excess PO4.

Do a big water change and be patient. Your water will be clear after afew days.

I have a friend who used this product and yes, his water did become crystal clear but many of his fishes died. He followed the dosage instructions and the fishes were all having breathing difficulties after he added it. His shrimps were completely wipped out too.

actually even when I clouded the water with base fert it only takes the filter several hours to completely clear the water.

For the water in a planted tank to turn cloudy after a water change indicate water issues. How long does it normally last? It's usually either a bacteria bloom or the onset of green water.

By tank reset, what do you mean? Major water change? Clean filter? Rescaping/replanting?

i m rescaping. O cloudyness = bacteral bloom? i m going to pull out all the plant, reslope the sand and replant them again. never done this b4, is it advisable? experiance from my louhan tank tells me that every time i disturbed the sand the water become cloudy, so i anticipated that the water in my plant tank will be the same. and the louhan cloudy tank took 1 full day to clear but still some small particles floating around.

sounds like you don't have any base fert? if you do you can't just rip out the plants as the fertilizer will go into the water column. may have to drain all your water and re-lay part of the gravel substrate.

LH tank with floating particles: I am not familiar with LH but sounds like your filter may be under capacity?

important thing when you rescape your tank, try to keep the established bacteria colony, either keeping part of the old substrate or keeping the filter media in the cannister. when cleaning the filter you have use old tank water to clean rather than under the running tap.
