Hi all,

I am setting up a 4ft(L) x 1.5ft(W) x 2ft(H) cabinet tank. I intend to setup a planted tank with Blyxa Japonica, Crinum Calamistratum, Cockscrew Vallisneria, Peacock Moss and maybe Hemianthus Callitrichoides and Downoi if condition premits. Fauna will probably be a small school of Green Tetra 50X, Furcata 10X and Sakura shrimp 50X.

The question I have is, will a sump tank be suitable? I have spoken to a tank maker who told me that a sump tank will be easier to maintain and CO2 losses is actually not that bad, and that topping up of water will be much easier. He also mentioned that he recently made several planted tanks setup with sump tanks. Wondering if anyone here is one of those that he mentioned.

Else, will like to hear from fellow forumer your opinion on having sump tank for planted tank.

Thank you very much.

Regards,
BH
