    hi all,

It been a long time since I last posted here....
I've moved back from SG to KL since last year.

I been to a few fish shop in KL but I notice that planted tanks are not very popular in KL... Luckly I found a shop in Taman Tun ( TTDI ) that sells various planted tank accessories like CO2 canister, liquid fertilizer, testers and etc.. but they do not sells any plants.

Does anyone have any idea where in KL/PJ I can find a fish shop that sells water plants or planted tank accessories ?

    Thank you

Just curious if you could bring in plants and fish from Malaysia? Do you have to declare at the customs?

Not necessary. As long as you don't bring in plants with soil.

Just find out that there is a FS in Taman Perling (JB) carries wide selection of aquatic and non-aquatic plants at RM1.50 each bunch. To my suprise, Mini Riccia , Eriocaulon sp and "X'mas moss look-aliked" moss also available there.

That is Sin Yen Chuan Aquarium, they had shifted their business to marine setup recently.

    Simon,
There isn't any prominent building for you to verify, anyway i took some pictures at the shop.

A nice paludarium tank(grinded edge) with cabinet , price is < RM400 if my memory serves me well.

    All price negotiable there.

IMO, the shop owner Mr Koh is a passionate hobbyist indeed so i think he deserves the support.

After leaving Malaysia checkpoint, you have to drive along JB straits all the way towards Jalan Skudai (Appx 20-30 min). When you see Giant Hypermarket(Tampoi)on your right, keep left and then you'll see the signboard that show you the way to Taman Perling. Anyway, it is better for you to give them a call.

Specialised aqua plants are sold in Pandan Indah, Taman Maluri, Subang Jaya and USJ 19. If interested, I can sell you some of mine but it gotta be soon as I'm leaving this hobby temporarily. PM me if interested.

They another one behind Jaya Jusco,Tmn Maluri. I think it's opposite the BSN. The prices there are a tad more expensive than 88 Marine. The staffs are less helpful in comparison.
