I should say might. Always a good idea to discuss the issue with them as they might not think of it OR simply adopt the "if it can't get thru your lift/door/window, that's your problem." attitude

You'll probably be charged accordingly too... transporting the glass, extra labour, etc... whether or not it's indicated on the bill is another story .

Blur one, please check your email or PM. Thanks.

For a job like this, they'll send ppl to your house to make the tank on the spot.

And if one day you decide to give up the tank, you may have to break it to get rid of it...

    Blur One,
I have some random tots that come to my mind, so here goes

    - Malayan shrimps or yamatoes are never safe in any planted tanks. They will become expensive snacks sooner or later. The worse thing is that the sharp spikes at the heads and tails could puncture your aro's stomach killing it. So putting them inside is always risky

    - You can have a 2.5' wide tank PROVIDED it is used as a room divider and NOT against the wall. You'll not be able to reach the back of the tank to do stuff.

    - Light diffusors block off quite a significant bit of light. They also hurt your aro when they jump.

    - The phosphate and nitrate from an aro and tankmates' excretion is very high. You'd need either fast growing plants or frequent water change to reduce their levels.

    - Don't think you should use christmas moss as it needs cooler waters. Unless you have a chiller

    - Don't think you should use plants that don't have roots because as the aro grows to 1', it's pretty powerful and it can dislodge plants by just swimming fast.

    - I think the main CO2 loss is when the water goes thru the bioballs. Not too sure about which Length of pipe you're talking about, but it'll be nothing compared to the air exchange at the bioballs and ceramic rings etc

Thanks for all the input I have received from members...the information is greatly appreciated....now I have to think this through to decide on the tank set up. It is such assistance that makes this forum benificial to newbies like myself.
YOU may like living in a pig's sty.... but I dont like swimming in a toilet bowl....CHANGE MY WATER !!

Ummm... if the tank makers are willing to send people to homes to repair large tanks, I'm sure you can get them to help you dismantle and then reassemble the tank at the new home.

Hi...Vinz mentioned about your tank to me.... Quite a challenge as I am also going to convert my 6x2x2 aro tank into a planted tank. I think your depth maybe too much....consider 2ft instead... you have any idea yet what your tank is going to look like? What concept...?
