One question :
I will be setting up a new tank with a volume of 41 US Gallon .
I am planning for glosso and ferns.
Should i get 2x36w PL or 4x36wPL?
If 2x36w PL will be 1.8w /Gallon
if 4x36w PL will be 3.5w /Gallon.
And the rough price too if say Nature(Chan)?

If I were you, I go for 3x36W.
4x36W is ok. But the demand for CO2 and nutrients is high. You got to be more diligent in both fertilisation and trimming. CO2 is a must. You are most likely required to dose of K, NO3 and PO4.
If you do not have prior experience, it is gonna be quite a challenge trying to get the CO2 & fertilisation right. Because once you get it wrong, it is going to be frustrating dealing with the resultant algae.

Depending on the length of your tank, you may want to consider 2x36PL and one 3 or 4ft FL (30 and 36W respectively) for even spread. Unless you or someone can customise the third PL in the middle.
Oh, and consider 2x55W too, but bulbs may be harder to get.
2x55W = 110W
3x36W = 108W

Algae is a result of over fertilisation? I just change to a new type of fertiliser and two days later, the glass walls are filled with green spots (I think its algae)...----------------
