Eheim Pro II 2028 filter media

Hi folks,

I m going to buy this filter but need to understand what is the functional diff b/w EHFI MECH n EFFI Substrat beside growing bac.

Secondly, I know that there are 3 trays in 2028, how many tray should i use for MECH and how many for Substrat. Which one should be at the bottom etc.

I have a 4x2x2ft tank

Dun worry, it should comes with 2 pack free substrat and there's a operating menu too.
