Recently found white worms in my tank and decided to read the forums for solutions. So I bought Vermex, which some members recommended. Followed the dosing instructions and have done about 4 doses over 12 days so far but still see planaria swimming around. There are less of them now and I now only feed the fish once in two days. Any idea how come Vermex didn't completely remove the planaria and are there any other solutions for this situation? Thanks

If they are tiny white worms that do not have triangular shaped heads, do not worry. Just vacuum your gravel bed, only the top layer and remove the muck. These worms thrive in tanks that are poorly maintained and when you overfeed your fish. They come and go, just like any other pest in the tank.

Vermex is not a cure-it-all and from what I've read in recent threads regarding unknown worms, it seems to be quite ineffective in controlling these worms. Maintain a strict feeding regime and vacuum the top layer of the gravel on a regular basis. This should work to reduce their numbers.
