Is that harlequin i see in your shrimp tank? Your shrimplets might end up as food for the fishes be careful though.
I like the scape for both your tanks but prefer the shrimp tank. Anyway if you are growing HC you might need stronger lightings.

    Cheers! Welcome to AQ anyway!

Thanks Bro. I had removed the fishes from the shrimp tank. Currently only left ottos in e shrimp tank.
I am using T5 for my first tank and 55W PL Light for the HC, what lightings will b recommend though?

Glad to hear that you have remove the fishes. 55watts might not be enough for Hc to creep however i am not 100% sure. I heard that Hc requires high lightings unless you started with
the DSM (Dry Start Method). I think i should let other peeps advise if 55watts is sufficient. Hope to see some updates of your tank when your Hc starts to creep!

    Cheers

55W ontop of standard 2ft tank should be enough to grow creeping HC. I can even grow creeping HC under 36W in 2ft tank.

Bro shadow, would 55watt be enough for a 2ft tank with 45cm height? I mean for hc to creep? Or 48watt t5ho better when compared with 55watt?

Never try on 45cm deep, but my guess should be ok. 1x55W or 2x24W? I personnaly prefered 2x24W provided it has individual reflector. If not individual reflector then it is probably the same.

    Update on my HC,

It's not dying, however it does not seem to creep, instead it's growing more like upwards...
Think the light might really not be enough for it to creep.

I like the messy jungle feel in your 2ft shrimp tank.

    Hi Tryo,

Yah, interesting the shrimps survive and make it their home, and with guppies too.

    Hi Misery,

Thanks, I like it too, it was terribly messy before the trimming.

I find that messy tank like that is good for shrimps, use to have a breeding net filled with loose fissidens and some CRS inside, and when i decided to take them fissiden out to tie onto my scape, i was shocked at the number of shrimplets swimming around trying to escape.

Downside is that, you won't be able to keep track of your shrimps and they're always in camouflage mode.

    Regards,
    Misery.
