    Hi there,
    Beautiful birdie you have there.

Just one question, can canaries be kept in round bamboo cage?

    Cheers and thanks for sharing.

Hello Knight. I would not recommend an ornamental or bamboo cage. First, a round cage is never a good option for a bird, and second..and more important, a bamboo cage would be impossible to clean properly, and could harbor mites.
    Thanks for the compliment.

Too bad just get to read your advice, had gotten the bamboo cage this pm.

Hey what do you think, which is ideal for a beginner? Canary or Finch?

    Thanks again

    Re: My Feathered Friends

I would get a male single canary, or a pair of finches. Don't put one finch alone, unless it is handfed. They do best in groups. Can you show a pic of the cage? How big is it? I keep my birds in as big of a cage as I can, and most of them get out of cage time. Make sure whichever you choose, you research their care, and plan to give fresh veggies and occasional fresh fruit. Romaine lettuce is a favorite.
