Looks like a grass / glass shrimp from the genera Paleomonetes to me.

Hi all!
Anyone out there knows what shrimp is this? I got it from Bioplast and Mr Chan called it "hei ke sia" or black shell shrimps in direct translation. Anyone???

Do you mean Ah Tan from Bioplast?
The shrimp seems allied to the Neocaridinia serrata complex (from which the Bee, Cherry, Tiger etc... shrimps come from), but you really need an expert to ID it. Anyway, Ah Tan calls it Taiwan Shrimp.
It's the hardiest of all local LFS shrimp and breeds like rats in a well-planted tank. Eats algae too, but its small size means even smallish fish will try to tackle it.

Right on Budak! Any idea where is selling it? Ah Tan kept saying he will be bringing in more stocks but he has been saying that since last year. Up till now, still no sight of it. I once got a few from him that were black in color. IMO, it is nice looking.
Cheers!
