    Hi guys...

    i just bought this cheap protein skimmer with a wooden air stone... it's supposed to produce very fine bubbles right? but no! it produced bubbles like the ceramic air stone... then i bought another one to try... but still the same... anyone has any ideals why? my pump is the adjustable type, no matter high or low, still not producing fine bubbles............... sianzzz....

    Hi powerful, have you mixed salt with the water in your tank? If not the stone will not produce those desirable fine bubbles... gdluck~!

    yep... your salt must have the sanity correct. Otherwise u wont see fine bubbles and only fine bubbles can breakdown the protein.

    Try using Sanders wood airstone to achieve the desired fine bubbles..
