    Hi,

anyone tried using a submersible lightings? thought it is cheaper by bring lights to the corals than to buy strong lightings like MH. think the heat generated is lower as compare to the MH.

    YOur opinion please.

By submersing the lights, the heat can only escape into the water... i.e. heating up the water much more then if the lights were not submersed.

Whereas, with the lights out of the water, most of the heat is lost to the surrounding air.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

Plus the fact is that the hardware does not make the marine tank look nice.....trying to conceal it and the light would be blocked defeating the purpose.
