    Re: Apisto comm???

You can try and keep Apistos in a community setting, but the tank must be large enough with sufficient hiding spaces and plant cover. They must also be of different body forms. I kept cacatuoides with agassizii in a community tank with no problems. In a small tank however, this may not be possible.

Currently, housing 3 pairs of different family of apisto in my 3ft tank... Caca triple red, bitaeniata, agasiizi alenquer.. and i also have another pair of nanacara, managed to breed three times!

bound to have some minor chasing around, but so far no deaths..
oh, by the way, it's in my planted setup

1 Male and 2 females are definitely not a big problem, except that the dominant female might bully the other one once in a while.

    Re: Apisto comm???

I have tried bitaeniata and elizabethae together.. lasted about 3 months. Both pairs spawned.
Now I have about 25 to 30 inkas in a 3ft tank - no issue too.
