My tank is 2ft by 1ft by Half ft... I had not done anyhing to my tank... I'm seeking advice first before I buy apisto...
Your Tank size is ok for a pair. Here's what i recommend for a happy apisto.
1) Buy ADA amazonia I or ADA africana soil
2) Get your desired driftwoods, caves/pots. (you need that for the fish to spawn or hide when facing aggressions)
3) Cycle your tank with the new soil for at least 7days ( i do 14 days to be on the safe side)
3) Put some tetras in after 7 days and monitor fish condition
4) If they survive, your tank is ready for the apistos
Also, one of the new tank syndrome is white spots on your fishes. For this. Usually, i dose alot of Nutrafin BB into the water thruout the cycling period to hasten up the cycling process.
Saw a pair of nice Aga alenquer and hognei in C328 yesterday.

hi bro, i think a 2ft tank wouldn't be suitable for more than a pair as they are territorial and a 2ft wouldn't have much space. because to have more than a pair you'd need thick vegetation to avoid line of sight that prevents confrontation that may lead to fights or even death. a happy pair would be rewarding enough in a nice set-up! don't forget to cycle first! good luck (:
Hoignei??
