The info i found online says it has a varied colours.

So does that mean i go to a LFS i will see a bag of malayan shrimp in different colours or they will grow up into different colours?

The offspring will they be in random colours too?

Id like to know too. But i think it all depends on the environment. Like the malayans in my betta tank tend to try to blend in with the colour of the soil. While those in my planted tank with only small ember tetras tend to be orange-y in colour

Normally the one you bought at LFS is juvenile, their size is about 1cm and they did not show color yet. They are very cheap, pack of 50 for less than $5. However some LFS do sell the adult version or even miss label it as different shrimps.
