    I just bought a moss ball. can i cut it and rolll in to two balls as they are algae. Will it kill it?

    err.. you already said its a moss ball, so how can it be an algae.. if the ball is big enough, they might form into 2 individual balls. but the shape might not be a perfect sphere again
    my 100 gallon tank:
    - 23 blood parrots
    - 2 high-fin plecostomus
    my 10 gallon shrimp tank:
    - sakura, cherry, malaya, orange, snowball, tiger, bamboo
    - 3 otocinclus, 3 assassin snails

    That is supposedly how they make more of these balls. But note that the balls can grow painfully slow...so your 2 new balls may need time to grow to the same size.
    I read that the thing grows 1cm a year...but I suspect that is not true...otherwise how the LFS can sell so many for so cheap?!
