    hi all,

have a question regarding DIY lights...
i just got a 2X36W E-ballast and just connected one piece of 36W PL tube to it yesterday.
Today, the tube was found to be not working already and upon close inspection, i saw a tiny crack around the end of the light tube..after changing to a new tube, the lights were functional again.

May i pose a question as to whether we can use only one part of the 2x36W PL (1234 instead of all 1234 5678 connection of the eballast)

will just using 1 tubes on a 2x36WPL shorten the lifespan of the tube or its ok?
would appreciate help on this matter

I think there's no problem. It is made to support to up to 2 tubes. So using one set of the two won't harm the eBallast.
