Ciaossu's 2 X 1ft cube tank attempt.

Ciao everybody,

i've just completed 2 X 1ft cube tank.

1 of them is south american biotope and the other is low tech plant tank. please feel free to comment and it would be nice if you could me a pointer or two as i'm still learning to be a better scaper.

here goes,

tank: 1ft cube tank
light: LED clip light (don't know how many watt is it)
substrate:unknown soil brand from colourful on the bottom and sudo bottom sand on top.
flora: none
fauan: apisto diplotaenia only.
my south american biotope tank
i'm thinking of all ketapang leaves and few more branches into this tank. Question: where can i find cheap branches like driftwood and where to get ketapang leaves and how do i maintain the tank with ketapang leaves in it?




my low tech plant tank

tank: 1ft cube tank
light: LED clip light
substrate: same as above
flora:spiky moss, nana, rotala, and unknown plant
fauna: pymy cory, "snake fish" it's a kind of loach with body like a snake and 1 male apisto and boraras brigittae and maybe some fire red shrimp

kind of dissppointed with this tank.

Bro your tank look nice... Maybe the second tank add more plant... After all a very good idea... One stone kill 2 bird... Can enjoy two way of keeping fish in one way... Great idea bro...

thanks for the kind comment, yeah was thinking add some floating plant and some tenellus at the foreground or do you have any foreground plants to recommend? must be low requirement though haha

Maybe you can try hc plant... Well I have two kind of plant in my tank doing well... One is hc the other I forget the name bro hehehehe...

i thought HC needs CO2 to do well? hmm, maybe you can share with me what's your setup like? e.g. lights, substrate, any co2?

Anyway I'm using project soil and pl light... I did not use any co2 but it is growing well... I bought all my plants at pasir ris farmway and I enquire them which foreground plant does not really need co2 so they choose for me bro...

hmm, what is the wattage of your PL light? and do you dose fertilizer?

I like your biotope tank Are you from Singapore?
If you are,you can get kepatang leaves from c328 at clement.
You can leave the leaves in the tank and remove them when they begin to rot

Thanks, ya I'm from singapore. Yup have added some inside the tank and also added black water extract
