can do but slow grow. use good reflector increase better casting. water cleanliness is important for moss.

i asked my neighborhood lighting store and they had those ready FL casing. i think all i need is to mount it to something and the fluorescent tube and ballast right? any recommendations for the reflector, besides DElighting or something?

How big is your tank? I guess no harm to get a PL light from a local fish shop. It will last for years.

i have 2 1x1x1 tanks side by side. i'm thinking of putting a diy fluorescent fixture to light both. not sure if the pl will be too much for the small tank?

I have 1 ft tank also. I am currently using 2x13W T5 light. The plant grows well with it. =) I think it only costs me less than $20 from the shop.
