Recommendation For Food For Newborn Shrimplets

Hi all,

Can anyone advice wats a good recommendation to feed newborn shrimplets as i understand that they cannot feed on solid foods like the adults yet right?

They will feed on the biofilm on your moss.
If they get a chance to land on adult shrimp foods, they will feast on it as well.
That is not often though as they prefer to hiding in the moss.

You can also feed them high grade baby fish food, those tiny tiny little pellets type.

i fed mine with boneowild bebi food... dont know issit me or what but the shrimplets seems to grow faster with the shrimplets food..

Oh? That means the food that you fed contains a much higher content of meat based products. Thus, higher growth rate.

No need to worry about them they will find their own food source as long as you have some mosses in your tank. Anyway they are too tiny to consume alot of food, hence if you overfed them, it will cause them more harm than good.

hmmm... usually the shrimplets food if unfinished will become food for your Beneficial Bacterial right? so isnt it better to feed them the food?

I never provide shrimplet food for them; only normal size shrimp food for the adults. The shrimplets seem fine with moss and other plants for food source.

Unfinished food will invite hydras and flatworm, if still unconsume it will turn moldy and rot, this will cause your water to turn foul and ending shrimplets survival reduced.

agree with bro goody.. you dont have to worry about which food to feed your shrimplets. For me i dose bioplus every 3 day and for the adults, mosura specialty food .your shrimplets sometime will share with the adults too.

thanks all all the advise fellow shrimp keepers....maybe will try bioplus..cause my shrimplets seem like growing a bit slow...
