use 1.5 L bottles and poke small holes and place them outside your home.
You will be amazed how fast they turn green...

what type of algae are you trying to cultivate? maybe you should get some samples from fellow forumer first and then use sunlight to further propagate them
Carbonates and ammonia will help you cultivate algae - but like plants algae also need light and macros.

Light and old fish tank water, with lots of fish poo.
add more fertilizer than manufacturer recommendation.and don't change water for weeks.
