It looks like Lapis sand you got there? Hairgrass will be fine in that but I'm not sure about HC. Anyway the picture is too small for judgement.

Can anyone help to comment whether should i change the soil in order for the hairgrass or HC to survive? What kind of sand is in the tank? Thanks.
