    Just bought an analog timer from Carrefour at $7.90 today... didn't check out what prices do LFS sell them at before. Can bros here give me a rough guide so i know if i had been ripped off?

    Cheap what...TheBen (a brand a lot of ppl use) timer cost slightly less then $20.
    Carrefour also selling another timer at 9.90...cheap and good too!

    But is the timer from carrflour reliable? Why the price difference so much. Actually, I also saw the timer, but hestiate b'cos of the very low price....

    Is the $7.90/- timer good?

    wah!7.90 is cheap sia.lol...average timer i tink between $13-20 bucks.depending on the many functions.some digital some analog.

    Just don't get Dymax timer, I got three of them and all broke down in a couple of months.

    The timer is analogue lor... works by pressing down some plastic pieces which connects the circuit, thereby presenting your timer effect, so won't be deadly accurate and all that, but unless your plants die from an extra or less 15 mins of light and co2 it shouldn't matter. Only used it first day today still awaiting results.

    i using Dymax. so far,ok. but, i think i should get 1 from Carrefour for standby.

    if accuracy dosent matter, then this type of analog type of pressing bits of plastics is ok lah...been using for sometime...no problem!

    the 9.90 one looks good.
