I try it before but with 'c' grade all lot of bros and shifu will say not advisable shorten their lifespan.

I think fan with cherry, sakura should be okie but if u want to see their colour than better in chiller tank.

I am keeping tiger shrimps without fan or chiller, their temp requirements are about the same as low grade crystal red shrimp. so far no casualties, but no berried females either.

If they get to breed before they died, then it should not be an issue of shortening of life span.

As long as the temperature is around 24 to 26 degrees can breed alr, higher than that quite difficult.

avg temp is 28 deg. Just trying this out as an experiment, not expecting them to breed.

last time i had a 1ft setup running with fan only. temp was about 28 deg C. bought 2 grade B/C CRS and happened that one is male and the other female. after 1 year plus, the pair breed to over 100 CRS. of coz coming from just one pair, the grade gets lousier but it shows that if you have a good controlled parameters, running with fan is possible to get them to breed. you just don't hope the grade is good or better or betterer or betterest. haha

You need selective breeding for it to be better.
That mean only get the best one to breed.
If all the offspring color are all worse than the parents, put in a terrapin.
