My first time using 2026. Everytime it is switched on, there is a loud but short rattle sound. I don't have this with 2215 or 2235.
Is this a common experience with the 2026 users out there?

Bro, if the whole compartment is filled with water, then it won't happen. Most prob like bro nbk3 mentioned, there is trapped air. Just prime it again. I think U should be more concerned if the sound existed at all times.[

just do what the bros here recommend, prime it again, my 2213 also sometimes like this, startup got sound, like old fashioned car
Also using 2026. Same problem at the begining. If you will to open it, will notice that canister is not full. top water till it is full and prime more as per what the guys said earlier.
