canister filter sponge

Can anyone here tell me how long do i have to change the ponge in the canister filter?

I normally change mine every half a year

may not be best practice though, I just too lazy

you mean wash or change? i thought is wash every 6 months, change every year?

budget !

normally after 6 month the sponge is too brow/black, just throw away and change to new sponge. Sponge is quite cheap $4 for one big packet
