Hi, what type of soil are you using? If it's inert, I think you can use rhizome plants like Anubias, or maybe moss
From what I heard, the amount of food you put in should be eaten in 5 minutes or less..Every 3 hours seems like alot.
Try vaccuming the gravel to remove the waste. No fish would eat the waste of other fish.
I think if your shrimps are small, they will get eaten up by the fish..
Hope it helps!![]()
Hi Bro,
Firstly, the number of fish is too much for 2ft tank unless you have a very efficient filtration can handle this bio load, but I guess not. If you really want to keep all of them, you really need to do atleast 50% water change every other day.
Secondly, the plants you have inside dont look like aquatic plants that grow submerse to me. Not because you bought them from the LFS make them aquatic plants. Some staff of LFS dont really know what they are selling.
You should get nana, fern or Crypts as they are hardy and no CO2 injection.
yes the plants that u have in your tank are not aquatic plants. It is suggested you take them out as they will rot overtime which will result in ammonia bloom = bad for fish
Cheers,
JJ
judging from the lighting, anubias seem like a good choice. However, most importantly, reduce the number of fishes. It's seriously way too much. Unless you change 50% water every other day, you are going to get a serious algae problems plus sick fishes. Nice and simple tank by the way.

hey sufianjamal, you live in taman jurong right?
Yep, try cheaper moss like Java moss, or maybe Java ferns as well, although they may not be as tough as anubias var. nana. A few varieties will really enhance the look of your tank.
