Just bought some BLUE Shrimps from AMK Ave 10. Anyone knows if this is natural blue or injected with dye.

Looks cool. Not sure about its survival rate though...heehee [] []

Those may be malayan shrimps. They come in different colours. Could be dependent on the diet.

depends on how much you paid right?

I've bought yamato shrimps with a slight bluish tinge before, labelled as "blue yamatos" and priced the same as the normal ones. They don't stay blue though.

Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:

Saw a certain LFS at Clementi area selling these so-called Blue shrimps at $1.50 each. Had a closer look and they were Malayan shrimps.

you can keep them blue by feeding them dead neons or cardinals.

wah man feeding them dead neons or cardinals. like that my nitrate and nitrite levels will escalate sky high manz....well no choice just let it fade off if it must. lesson learnt : (

anyway i cant take any photos to show fella forumers because they have dissapeared among my dense plantation. Or worst, maybe lost its blue already so cant really differentiate between my normal Malayan shripms.
