I have the long tweezer with an attachable plastic scissors but does not work very well. It is not sharp enough and sometimes I have to "chop" a few times to totally divide some tougher stems. The tweezer however is very good indeed.

Still looking for a long stainless steel one and hopefully it won't burn a big hole in my pocket. I heard that dentists use this sort of scissors also. Any dentist here to advice?

Aiya, a short scissor will do too. In this hobby, we are suppose to get our hand wet all the time.

I find that in a small tank (like the 14inch mini I have), moving or cutting a plant by hand is like trying to shift a furniture at home with a bulldozer. It creates such a disturbance that shocks both fish and plant. This is especially true when the tank is heavily planted.

I appreciate a long tweezer that I use to do planting and remove algae. It does not cause any stress to the fish. They even come around and "kiss" the tweezer sometimes. Last week, I had no choice but to push a few plant into the gravel by hand and there was a big chaos among the fish. The next day, I found my pity SAE on the floor, dried and died

Well, if that is the case.

Not that I idolise Amano, but his best set of tools is still his pair of hands (NAW, 1996).

I still find a pair on long scissors great for pruning hard to reach stems... especially when you can only see what you want to cut from another angle. A must have for big/long tanks, convenient for medium tanks, but possibly clumsy in the smaller tanks.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

i use a $1 scissors for art and craft last time. it works fine for me and my tank is 1.5 feet tall.

very good for giving hairgrass a crew cut and massive trimming of dense stem plants...
