haha. me apple promoter. LOL.

Yes bro, olympus promoter.
i would say to have healthy plants will be blasting your co2 output.. not to the extend of fish gasping, but for me, i try to maintain my drop checker at light green - greenish-yellow colour.. making sure that my co2 is on the higher side, noticed last time when i try to lower co2 level, algae will start infesting the tank.. as for the glosso, they need really good lightings.. for my tank, height is 2ft deep.. i use 4x54watt T5HO osram bulbs and they are crawling very nicely.. right now, my foreground is 80% covered already..
haha. me apple promoter. LOL.

Some updates... noticed my fx5's flowrate has been dropping so decided to take it out for a wash.. Those poo/debris stuck among the filter/media shocked me..
WC after Fx5 is fixed back again.. did spew quite alot debris into the tank..
Angle shot after WC.. right now my rotala green is super messy.. might replace them with ludwigia brevipis(the red stem plant beside those rotala)
Glosso, so much easier to get a carpet compared to HC.. this is just after 2 - 3 weeks after planting.
my staurogyne repens, They don't seem to spread though..
Below pictures are some of the fishes in my tank.. quite alot in fact..
male and female german ram..
female
Corydoras hasbrosus.. cute fellas..

Nice, wonder how it looks like after you remove the Rotala green
i think i'll go with glosso evo, waiting for my tank and cab to arrive. it's my very first proper scaping to be done, i have no experience at all. hahahahaha![]()
"A Hesitating Pulse Is Good Company"

Yesterday something horrible happened.. the whole lot of my rotala green floated.. i dun really plant them into the soil since those newly trimmed ones are too short.. i usually just stuff them among other rotalas.. so i decided to take all of them out.. trim my L.brevipis and planted them in the empty spot.. i did planted some ptogostemon stellatus as well.. will update when they get more bushy..
Yes, glosso much easier to grow..
nice set up. the lawn of gloss spreading makes me envy...![]()

The growth of your glosso is a mark of good lighting. They are not leggy and the colour is simply awesome

updates..
Changed those taiwan moss on the wood to Xmas moss.. since they don't grow as fast as taiwan..
my L.brevipis grows super fast.. pogostemon stellatus as well..
Glosso carpet almost full
another angle
Time for me to buy a external Flash, sorry for the crappy photos above.

Thanks bro![]()
hey Evo,
are you using 4x54 all from one light sets? no problem with growth? Cause it seems from the picture you are using one light set, rather than 2 sets of double 54 watts T5. what brand are they?

Well done. I never get to this type of standard....

Another mistake people think is when glosso grows up is to look for better light, WRONG again, they look for CO2 actually. Even the most expert/pro made mistake on this. I've being experimenting almost all kinds of method to get the best the plant can grow, you dont need to use so called high tech to grow a beautiful planted tank anymore. Same for fertilizer use for the plant, no more EI for me anymore.
Now is for me to enjoy my beautiful planted tank without using anymore highlighted/high tech/EI etc etc etc. Beautiful planted tank can be done easily actually in low maintenance way.

When has anyone needed a high tech to grow a beautiful planted tank? i think we get confused between growing a planted tank and growing one quickly.. Plants are more lush in a high tech though.. generally speaking.

Cool... didn't know all that.. haha.. Anyway, i'll be switching off 2 bulbs( only turning on 2x54watt) and turning down the co2/ferts level and was previously thinking of switching to low tech plants.. now seems like i don't have to switch since they can all do just as well with low light but just need to keep up with the co2 level?
