The Nerite babes may need special food to grow up as they can't graze on algae yet. I think is planktons and something else which I can't recall is what. If not it will starve to death before reaching adult hood.
Today I read the ingredients of the Seachem Flourish again and it does contains a small amount of sodium of 0.13%. I think after a long usage of the product it may accumulate to a certain level. WC may remove it but usually not 100% WC are done so not all sodium are removed.
Vincent, do you dose liquid ferts for your tank? I am just having some wild thoughts here... :P

I use ADA Brighty Lights, Seachem Excel 3 times a week in this tank. Seachem Equilibrium and Potassium Sulphate on alternate weekends. I don't think we've dosed enough to make the water brackish. The ones I have I think are already big enough to graze on algae.
