bro.. so u didnt use ur easy aqua super atomizer?
saw that you added some crs. Does your rock increase your gh ? i got similar rock in my tank before and my gh sky rocket. If your gh is on the high side and you want to get better crs, advice is to remove your rock.
That was for my 2 FT. This tank is using DIY CO2 and won't be strong enough to power any "high tech" diffuser.
From what I understand, this rock should not affect the water parameters. The last time I measured GH was around 2-3 degree even though I am dosing Equilibrium. The CRS are low grade ones and are added to add more colors to the tank. Just for fun only.
so has it stabalize alrdy? i am thinking of getting tt too..
You must had missed my update on the product. It is leaking from the sealant after less than 2 days of use. Today want back to change and now giving the new one a try on the DIY CO2. Seems like it is not gonna work... Will see tomorrow if it is misting or my bottle explode first.
How come you don't use a small OHF?
oh no... how come u dont try it back on the non-diy co2?
A bigger filter will give a more stable water parameters and I like the quietness of the Eheim canister and the durability.
This is just for testing. Although I know that it will not work but i am just curious if it will happen to work on mine. Anyway removed it already.
Unknowingly, the water pH went up to 7.5 and things are getting weird in the tank.
Not sure if the Seachem Equilibrium or the baking soda is the culprit. I very seldom dose baking soda so left the Equilibrium or maybe is the Kurokinryu rock; which is not suppose to affect water parameters?
Never get any Ketapang leafs so it I started to do WC to lower the KH from 7. CRS casualty in tank is high and I am left with only 4 now.
Since last night I am dripping tank water from my 2 ft(6.5 pH) at 1 drops per 3 secs into the Nano to help bring the pH down also. Lucky my RCS are all doing fine.
Left with only 2 CRS and they are going strong. pH is going down slowly after the days of tannins stained water dripping and adding of Ketapang leaf.
RCS are so much hardy where none are affected.
Here's some update of the survivors. They are coming out of hiding and eating now.

Update taken last weekend.
Can someone help my ID the plant on the left in between the moss ball and the crypt please. Got it together with the RCS without the roots, stuck it into the soil and it just grow taller and taller.
Added 2nd Ketapang leaf yesterday and pH is down from 7.5 to 6.5 today.
Now the shrimps looks more lively and are swimming around the tank.
Sad to say, I am left with 1 of 10 CRS.

but yours is a small tank mah. its alsoo possible that it drop from 7.5 -6.5 in 1 hour and stop there.

Hey.. i have a mini tank too! But not as pretty as yours. I'm really basic set up. Wanna ask a question. How do you keep the water level constant? I understand that the cooling fan casues the water to evaporate at a higher rate right? I have to top up 1.5L of water per 2 days into my tank to maintain water level.
Same here, i used to top up the water every now an then. Currently I am temporary running it a chiller meant for my new 2ft so evaporation is not as bad as before.
I tried using drip method to replace the evaporated water before at about 1 drop every few minutes and it helps a bit with the toping up but got to be careful not to let it run too fast or it will overflow. Also got to cover the water to prevent mosquito from breeding also. Due to space constrain in my new set up, I have since removed it.

Expanded my hobby to a "fish room" and moved the Nano to a corner.
Scaling down the filtration to a HOB filter to repurpose the Eheim 2213.
Due to space constrain, the LED light was moved higher up till I DIY a stand for it. Not really any issue with the height as LED light penetration is much better than PL/FL tubes.
