Can you confirm that you primed it properly? If an air bubble was trapped in the rotor section, then you would see reduced water flow or even no flow at all.

Hi bro

Thanks and desperate.
you need to tilled the canister to let trap air gets out of the canister.

Priming is the process of starting water flowing into the filter until both input and output pipes and the filter itself is full of water.
Checklist:
- Off the filter.
- Make sure filter is lower then the tank's water surface.
- Close both valves and remove from filter.
- Empty the outlet hose (the one from filter to tank).
- Make sure the inlet hose is completely full of water. No big bubbles.
- Make sure the two ends in the tank are correctly place.
- Reattach the valves/hoses to the filter.
- Open the outlet valve FIRST.
- Then open the inlet valve. Water should start flowing from the tank into the filter, fill up the filter, and finally rise up the outlet hose until near the top of the tank.
- When the water has stopped flowing, start the filter.
- Report results here.
If you primed properly and it still gurgles, then it could be air leak, especially if the set was left dry for a long while before you bought it. Check that all the rubber rings on the set are in good condition.
I believe you will have to check the rubber rings no. 7343168 and 7445200 shown in this diagram: http://www.aquarium-winkel.nl/index....image&pID=1059
If I recall correctly, this set also came with a tube of vaseline to lubricate 7343168. You may need to get some from the supermarket or pharmacy. Make sure is plain vaseline petroleum jelly and not the other moisturiser products. I used to have a Eheim Pro that would occasionally stop moving water and make gurgling noises, even though I did not touch it. Re-lubricating helped.
Where do you live. Maybe some nearby senior may be kind enough to drop by if you can't solve the problem.

ok bros.... I will try and scream for help if it doesn't work.
Yes the filter was not used by previous owenr for at least 1 year but condition looks good.
Thank you for your help... will report later...
Cheers

hi TS, take note you might be having airlock. suggest you open up the canister and refill with water. connect your hose and everything, use another powerhead to pump water into the canister til it's full and water is coming out from the other side of the canister. upon finish doing that, you may power up the canister and it will be working. BTW did you check if your in and out tube is position correctly?
try filling water up to the brim inside the cannister and retry..
Hi all gurus,
the priming stpes as explained so clearly by Vinz works. no need to check eheim website.
Thanks so much for much for your support.
