    Hi, I`m currently having an empty 4ft tank (48"x18"x18"),thinking of converting to rear shrimps. I`ve a spare eheim 2028 cannister and pre-filter. What chiller should i use ???
    Hailea,Resun or Arctica?? Also regarding external sensor for chiller, where to diy or buy?? Thanks..

    if budget not a constrint, get Artica or Teco. Otherwise Hailea or Resun, no different. Just get the right hp, maybe around 1/4hp

    You need to look up the specs of the chilled you want to get, then see whether the filter flow rate is good enough. Just nice is not good enough. Your filter's flow rate should be better then the chiller's minimum required flow rate. By the time the filter push the water through the media, hoses etc the flow is slightly lower. Also as the media clog and the filter ages, the flow will drop as well.

    you can get external sensor from Sim Lim, I bought mine from Acez Instrument Pte Ltd, #B1-38. By the way,different brand may have differnt type of sensor.

    so to say different chiller uses different sensor or all sensor can be used for different chiller?? do i need to ask the shop for the particular sensor that the chiller is use for ??? Thanks.

    I'm afraid the shop may not know unless you bring along the old sensor. By the way you can actually take out the old sensor and extent the wire.
