How to clean crystal glass tank without scratching?
For those with crystal glass tanks (ADA, CADE, etc), can I check how do you clean your tanks both inside and outside to prevent scratches?
1) Outside - newspaper with glass cleaner can?
2) Inside - Algae scrapper
3) In and Out - Magnetic Glass cleaner
Please share your experience. Thanks!

I have bad experience with magnetic glass cleaner. some particle trap inside thus when move it around it scratch the glass. So I will not recomend it. I my self using those white filter wool
Ya do not use algae glass magnatic cleaner. There is this 3M micro fibre sponge. Works great fot my scape tank glass for clearing glass algae.

I saw the 3M one. But it specifically says not for aquarium use so I didn't buy. Actually, I notice that all the 3M sponge says not for aquarium use - wonder why.
White filter wool seems like a popular choice! I guess the only downside is that have to get arms wet.

What about putting the filter wool on inside part of the magnetic cleaner. For the outside I attach glass cleaning cloth as the original surface weared off and the glue used to secure it is being rub onto the glass. Improvise a bit and the magnetic glass cleaner is still a great tool.

Best way to clean tank is to just use a normal clean sponge and scrub away. Most efficient!
Use a credit card to scrub then siphon the stuff off.

I think technique plays a part as well. Cleaning the glass from top down ensures you're less likely to get gravel stuck in the sponge/etc and scratching the glass. And watch out for snails getting caught in the stuff too.
