Help, CRS white parts becoming clear.

Hi, I have a few SS grade CRS that are gradually losing their white parts, they are becoming clear, as in losing their 'whiteness'. What is going on? Can the white come back? Some of the others are OK, still very white. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.

They might be stress. For me, sometimes I put in breeder box or transfer to my other tank, the colour comes back.

There can be many reasons for discoloration.. But mainly genes & water perimeter..

Some white does lose during lights off.. But during the day when lights are on, their colors comes back.. If genes are good, no matter day or night also white..

Yes.. agree with bro Alvin. A few of my CRS also loses colour when at night when there are no lights.

Think best bet is for you to check your water parameters. If they are good, most probably due to genes.
