Hi people,
I start this tank about one week ago, tie the peacock moss onto it and dump into my tank. This morning i notice this white moldy stuff growing all over.

very difficult to get clear pictures.
Pls help ID what is it and how to cure it.
Some info and details
- One week old tank, now cycling with eden 501
- bog wood bought quite long ago. when first bought back, i boil it and dried it and then store.
- Peacock moss bought from someone, i did notice the moss got a smelly smell. i though is water dirty thus, flash it a few times to wash the moss clean.

I experienced the same thing on my driftwood in the initial phase after i set up the tank. I scrubbed it off, and it still came back until i introduced some OTOs and Amano Shrimps. They did a wonderful job of clearing those white stuffs in a matter of days (for my case its less than a week!).

update: i introduced some snails and sakura shrimps and, problem solved!

I have a similar problem although my mold is very white and the driftwood has been in over a year. Shrimp and otos aren't touching the stuff. Last week found some growing in my drop checker!
