Read from the pressure gauge. The pressure should be around 1000psi most of the time until the CO2 is about to run out.

a properly refilled co2 tank should contain liquid and gaseous co2. weight is the only true indicator whether the tank is properly filled.

a tank filled with gaseous co2 will show 1000+psi fresh from refilling. however, the pressure will drop very soon (in terms of days to a few weeks, depending on your usage). a properly refilled tank should last you for months.

The pressure should stay 900-1000psi (depending on the ambient temperature) as long as there is liquid CO2 in the tank. This is the vapour pressure of liquid CO2. The pressure should be in this range up to months as long as there is liquid CO2 in the tank.

When the liquid is used up, the pressure will drop quite rapidly.

Dudes... if my science knowledge is right then a gas will condense to a liquid (giving off heat) when the pressure is high enough. when release to the atmosphere of low pressure it absorb heat quickly and transform back into the original gaseous state.

So if CO2 is let out at a very high flowrate, water vapour in the atmostphere will condense and freeze at the outlet.

    Hi Guys,

Need your advice please? When the solenoid is switched off, their shouldn't be bubbles coming out from the cyclinder? Or will it take some time?

    Thanks

Once it is shut off, you should not see any more bubbles coming out from the cyclinder. But if your reactor is not too efficient , it will take a while before all the Co2 is fully dissolved from the reactor.

well, this topic on refilling co2 has been discussed to death. and will contimue to be discussed to death.[]

it is natural that when one has a co2 tank, one will try to lookout for a cheaper or more convenient place to refill co2. once anyone has found a better place, be it cheaper, better service, or ..., the person will post the 'new' location. and so it spreads...

For those who has giant tank (5litre), why not try A&G, they do collection and delivery at your door step. $19. 4 dollars more than the regular $15, Rather than take public transport/taxi(if you don't have a direct bus, that will easily cost you more than $4), easily Save time and money.
