    Re: CO2 Set Up

Usually we recommend that you use a CO2 atomiser/diffuser or reactor. Search Google for these 3 for pictures.

CO2 atomisers are like airstones, but produce much finer bubbles. Diffusers are usually glass devices with a diffuser plate that also produces fine bubbles.

Reactors are chambers that dissolve CO2 into water. There are 2 types, internal and external.

Referring to your photo: On your cylinder, you already have a pressure gauge and a valve control (knob). Below that you have a tube and the transparent device with yellow bit inside is a check valve.

What you need from the check valve onwards is: Check valve (already there) >> tube >> bubble counter >> tube >> check valve >> CO2 diffusor/atomiser/reactor.

If you use diffusor or atomiser, that is all you need, other then the sucker to hold the last item in place.

If you get an internal reactor, then: filter output >> hose >> reactor.
For external reactor, then: filter output >> hose >> reactor >> hose >> tank.

    Re: CO2 Set Up

you may want to consider to change to a solenoid valve for auto on/off and better control of CO2.

    Re: CO2 Set Up

solenoid does not offer better control of co2.
it allows you to use a timer to set the co2 injection period.

a needle valve is needed to control co2 injection rate.

    Re: CO2 Set Up

    Bros,

Any indicator of costs for the below:

What you need from the check valve onwards is: Check valve (already there) >> tube >> bubble counter >> tube >> check valve >> CO2 diffusor/atomiser/reactor.

If you use diffusor or atomiser, that is all you need, other then the sucker to hold the last item in place.

If you get an internal reactor, then: filter output >> hose >> reactor.
For external reactor, then: filter output >> hose >> reactor >> hose >> tank.

    Thanks
    Kenneth
