You need more smaller rocks, put it around the main rock. Is that Japanese hairgrass behind? very messy, normal hairgrass probably better.

    Just my 2 cents

Agree with bro shadow. Once have smaller rocks, try putting some E tenellus or blyxia japonica to complement the small rocks.

Ps : By the way, do some trimming on HC. You will definately needed, lol

There are 10 CRS in my tank... my intention is to control the population as i dont want to spoilt the iwagumi feel.. so will sell off the shrimps if they do breed..

Thank you for the comment. This is my first tank actually, set it up with the help of my frd. i am unsure of if my hairgrass is japanese or normal ones.. the Hairgrass is to have a grassy feel as a background..

    Wah. Nicer now .

If you still have some soil left. Top up abit near the rocks as I saw some holes there.

I think it will look neater if just use hc without the hairgrass. Confirm nice.

i did consider that intially, yup HC definetely will shine on its own. the down side is that there will be a lack of layer in the landscape. That is why i include HG as the background..

Ye. Thats why I thought at first before I started my planted tank. using a layer to plants to add a type of depth to the tank end up abandoning the idea and use all HC instead.
My reason. All HC would look neater, I afraid that HC would fight with the Hairgrass and grow on each other land lol.
There is more than 1 way to add depth to your tank without using 2 types of carpet.
One of the way I realise from looking at some of the bros tanks. is to do a slope. Definitely add a kind of depth.
    Just my thought.
Your tank. Your way. I am not a pro in planted tank or should I say a noob in this hobby. I just started my FIRST 1ft nano planted tank. Therefore. dun think too hard about my comments haha. hardly have any evidence to support my points. Anyhow only. Your tank looks quite nice with your rock scape.!
