Hi Everyone,
Just thought I would share regarding my tank and hopefully glean some advice or comments. I just started a new shrimp tank three weeks ago, CRS, Fire Reds, Tigers & Yamatos (with a couple of Cardinal tetras), and to my great surprise and joy, I just saw a pregnant CRS yesterday! Two Fire Reds have given birth too, and the shrimplets can be seen hiding amongst the moss and plants. They look pretty yellow though.
Bought Mosura Bioplus for the shrimplets and the upcoming CRS ones. The instructions state 1 flat scoop for 100 litre, but I put the same for my 54 litre tank. Hope there won't be any problems? Any ideas what else I can do to maintain the shrimp and shrimplets?
In other news, I removed my two Mexican Dwarf Crayfish from the tank as they were messing up with my mini riccia.
Cheers!

Hi Gideon,
My two cents:
1) Your tetras will probably eat the shrimplets if they can find them so if you want to make sure they survive, provide adequate cover.
2) Ensure your filter inlets are covered with some form of netting to prevent them from being sucked into your filter system. IT might not be fatal, but retrieving them from your filter will probably be a hassle.
Other than that. Congrats on your pregnancies!
Hi Gideon.
I agree with Wolfgangs246 and 1 flat scoop of Mosura Bioplus i feel too much. Feed them bit by bit, but more time.
Congrats on your Shrimp Mama pregnancies![]()
