    Hi guys,

I've noticed flea-like looking creatures in my new tank. Currently, i've hair-grass and HC in my tank set-up.

Could it possible that these flea-looking creature came from the plants which i initally planted them. Coz i remember i didn't really have a clean-up on the plants before i planted them.

Have anyone had such encounter? If yes, anyways to get rid of them or do i need to entirely decomm the tank.

    Thanks to advise.

Get some cheap feeder guppies or platies to see whether they will eat the flea like creature?

Actually these 'pest' are fine in the tank.. Just let them be.. They should have came with your plants.. If I am not wrong, they should be copepods.. If tank is well maintained, their numbers should be within control..

Re: Flea-Like Looking Creature in New Set-up tank

They are multiplying at an alarming rate. They seems to crawls just on top of the soil and around my HC and it's very creepy. The only way to get rid of them is to get rid of all my plants and soil, basically decomm the entire tank.

Anybody got better solution to this? Thanks to advise.

Like what creech said on top, get some cheap guppies, platy, mollies to try and see whether they will eat up your flea-like looking
creatures. Chances are, they will readily swallow all.
