Hi . Didn't work . Just wonder . Does the tube make a different?

I am using the rubber soft type tube . Should I use the hard plastic type ?

Change to harder tubing should help as the tubing need to be pressurized first before any bubbles will start producing. But as long it is not CO2 proof tubing, there will be leaks from the wall of the tubing. Normal tubing will still work, just that not as efficient.

Hi . Today I redo the generator . Apply more silicone to make no leakage . Change tubing to hard plastic type . Still can't build enough pressure to push the air out the diffuser . I admit defeat . Maybe the diffuser is meant for cylinder . DIY Co2 can't work with that .

Possible. Some of the diffuser need quite high PSI to work. Mine, I get a cheapo brand from eBay which they claim it will work with DIY CO2. Maybe someone else can recommend one the will work with DIY CO2 that you can get locally. This is what I am using.

Do you mean 2 bottles of yeast mixture.
My last set up was with 2 bottles connected in daisy chain for more CO2 production but not to build more pressure as it was working with one already. I read some people actually uses 6 or more for bigger tank! Just decommissioned my DIY CO2 last Friday as I just accquired a 5 L CO2 system 2nd hand.
It was fun experimenting with DIY CO2 but only pressurized CO2 will yield better growth.

I think changing the diffuser to a more basic one will allow your yeast mixture to last longer as it will stop working when the pressure drops to a certain level but in actual fact there is still a lot of CO2 trapped in the bottle.

Ya . I agree but for now I believe it should get the job done .

Until I upgrade to a larger tank I will invest more . Now is more like training period . Haha

    Hi again.

Ok, The 2 bottle stop producing Co2 last few day. So it only last me 1 week... How to make it work again?

There are very fine bubble produce when the mixture works, but now the whole thing is still, no fine bubble now ...

    Thanks

You can reuse the yeast by draining the water away. it is ok if some yeast escape. Then refill with dechlorinated water to half. Mix a glass of fresh sugar water and add in. Sugar should be 1 measuring cup. Same as the cup used to measure rice. How much yeast did you last use? Add a pinch of baking soda to buffer the water if you have.

So the yeast is the residue at the bottom of the bottle ? I use half tea spoon of yeast that time .

Yes, the residue at the bottom. You should be able to reuse the yeast culture for 3-5 times then change new one.
