If this is done, then it will be a great help to the newbies or any hobbist buying water plants. There is the copyright law to get pass and hopefully it will.
Guys, i decided to do something to help fellow newbie plant searcher like i was. Hope Moderators will put this as a sticky.
As the seniors should have known, there are 2 main suppliers of plants in Singapore. Of which, Oriental Farm in LCK is the presumed bigger and more well-stocked. The farm even provide plant shipments worldwide (exports), ADA japan, US etc.
They supplies to LFS such as Y618 and C328 etc. (matter of fact, y618 and c328 owners are blood brothers ) C328, been one of the most talked about LFS in town, is one of the only shops that do engage both suppliers to get their plant stocks.
And most of this LFSs, They do have a Book ( the Aquatic Plant Book ), Published by Oriental Farm. There are around 500 available species of Plants in this book, which are numbered from 1 to 5xx. For those frequently buy plants, you can just give the number quote for the plant to the uncle over at the lfs. My job in this thread here, is possibly to list out all the plants and their numbers, put as a sticky, make it a good option for hobbyist to check at times.
Now the question is What I am going to do, Does it abide the copyright laws?
I have already made a reservation for the book, which will arrive next week from a LFS.
Do feedback to me. And i hope that this will eventually work out. Cheers!

have already sent an email to their sales department asking for permission.
Like! Ooops, too much facebook. Strongly support!
Hi Zack. Can you help me to identify this plant which a friend of mine gave me a small bucketful with plenty of shrimps and snails in it. She told me to tied them to driftwood or decorative stones and just place them into the tank. I've dump the bucketful into a cube tank for the time being until I decide what to do with it. They dont have any root and kinda look like freshwater weed to me. Thanks.
Oops forgot to attach picsAttachment 21863
looks like pellia (Monosolenium tenerum) to me. can't really see much from the pic.
ZackZhou - Great idea! How much is the physical book by the way? If it's not convenient to reveal, please PM me. Thanks! Too often, we are constrained by the plant species we see at LFS and seldom venture beyond that.
dennis93a - Looks like Riccia Fluitans infested with algae.
It's riccia. Alvin. Less then a big note.
Hi Guys. Flower2 is correct as I went and google pellia for more pics to match. The whole mass is infested with snails so I reckon I got to get rid of them first before doing anything with it. Thanks.
Hi Guys,
Here's AQ guidelines on price discussion
As for the copyright issue, it is best to check directly with the IP owner. Meanwhile, I will alert AQ admins to get their views.

Sorry, can I ask if Oriental Farm does retail sales as well? OR do they only provide the supplier function? Is it possible to visit their farm and browse their stock?
Please ignore my last comment. A google search revealed the answer. Sorry for hijacking this thread.
In line with the original post, I would support an online listing of the plants.
