Hi guys update on my L236 from our LFS(s)...
Basically this thread will show the different kinds of L236 that i have observed from our LFS(s).
One batch that i got were a juvenile at 1.5 inches, was kinda skeptical at first due to fact that the pattern hasn't formed yet and their small size. However as they grow, we can see the pattern start to develop, in 3 types.
1, thicker black lines will become thinner
2, longer thick lines becoming wriggly short lines
3, simple pattern becoming more complicated

Another thing is that i wanna compare the other batch of 236 that i got from my pleco friends (from another LFS). The fishes are bigger in size and the pattern is more or less fixed. The fishes here, in my opinion are the type 2 kind of pattern development...

Here goes... I have the before and after picture of some of them
but as with all living things, some are born less attractive and some are beautiful. I try to take picture of those that pose near the caves and the nicer ones from my entire collection...

1st up is this guy (A), currently the biggest, i would assume he is a male
    after a month of keeping

    same fish taken yesterday

same fish other side (1 mth of keeping)

    same fish taken yesterday

    more will be coming...

I don't have facing right picture (sorry)

    Taken yesterday (facing right)

*take note of the 3 blue lines indicating how the thick black lines have become thinner with white inside...

    Lastly, fish C.

I only managed to get a nice shot of this piece yesterday (no earlier picture of him)..

They are currently around 2.5 inches TL, with the biggest, A, probably around 2.7 inch. The rest of the group members are hiding and slightly smaller, i couldn't take their picture so just update the main character... haha

    Re: L236 from different LFS(s)

The group of L236 below is from another LFS
Notice the slight difference in patterning... with shorter wavy lines

They are very nice nonetheless... (i think the patterning won't change much)
I will update on the L400 soon.. need to take them out or if i am lucky they will come out for me to take...

Sorry my camera and skill sux... And they are in black tank...
If taken with dslr and white sand.. more gorgeous as initially i put them in white gravel and can see the difference... but my grow out tank is black sand...

i got them many months back from c328 and nks, however, there are no more there. You can try Stone's aquarium, they may have it, but pattern wise not guaranteed, so you have to choose and decide. I have not been to Stone's, at sin ming there, you can google for the exact address and contact.
